The ideal extension for the CHERRY card terminal, as a cost-effective remote solution for healthcare providers
The PP-1516 PIN Pad complements the existing CHERRY ST-1506 card terminal and supports modern, mobile working models in healthcare.
In combination with a VPN connection and the electronic healthcare professional card (eHBA), the easy-to-clean device enables healthcare providers to enter their PIN securely from home or on the go – in full legal compliance. The qualified electronic signature, for example for medical reports or ePrescriptions, is then reliably triggered via the stationary card terminal in the practice or pharmacy.
The digitalization of the healthcare sector not only enables new technical possibilities but also transforms everyday practice organization. The CHERRY eHealth PIN Pad PP-1516 allows documents to be signed regardless of location – creating new freedom for healthcare providers and their teams.
Proven use in practice
"Signing ePrescriptions, electronic sick notes after video consultations, or even at the weekend directly from home – this saves travel, reduces patient traffic, conserves resources, and improves our working comfort.
What may sound unspectacular is a real milestone in our practice organization: we can free up practice space and offer young parents new opportunities to combine childcare and patient care in the home office. A win-win-win for practice, patients, and doctors."
– Dr. med. Matthias Hempel
How it works – Remote PIN entry in 4 steps
- Before use, the PIN Pad is paired once with the card terminal in the practice.
- The PIN Pad is connected to a PC or laptop in the home office via USB. A VPN connection to the practice is required.
- You securely enter your PIN from home or on the go using the PIN Pad.
- The signature is then legally triggered via the card terminal and eHBA in the practice.
Further technical documentation for pairing is available in our download area.
