The AK-C8112 Medical Keyboard is an all-rounder for hygiene-sensitive areas and will impress event the most discerning keyboard user in hospitals, medical practices, or laboratories. This full-sized keyboard’s flat surface can be thoroughly wiped clean, preventing germ growth from contaminants and disinfectant residues. It comes fully sealed with an IP68 rating. In addition to its cleaning layout of 104 keys, the AK-C8112 combines all the advantages of a hygienic keyboard with the feel of an office keyboard.

Disinfectable medical keyboard with full layout and flat key profile
Like all Active Key hygiene keyboards of the “-12”-range (suffix -12, e.g. AK-C7412, AK-C4012), the AK-C8112 hygiene keyboard has a particularly flat key profile. This has been proven to remove more bacteria and germs during cleaning. Together with the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden, we carried out a phosphor gel emulation test with the AK-C8100 and AK-C7412 hygiene keyboards. This has clearly shown that the keyboard with the flat key profile (AK-C7412) leaves significantly less to no cleaning residue in the spaces between the keys after wipe disinfection than the keyboard with the higher profile (AK-C8100).
